New Printmakers Make Their Mark

The Hunterdon Art Museum in Clinton is currently showing "Up and Coming: New Printmakers Make Their Mark", an exhibition of work by 22 emerging printmakers in the US. It has received an excellent review in the NY Times. These MFA candidates and recent grads from art schools on the East Coast are experimenting with the print medium in new and exciting ways! The exhibition includes work by Canadian artist, Tara Cooper, who recently held a refreshingly innovative solo show, "Weather Permitting", in the Member's Gallery at Open Studio in Toronto (July 2009). Cooper's experimentation with animated video takes printmaking to another level.
